The Angel of the North has watched over the North East since 1998. For this Burnt Toast limited edition, we wanted to turn that unmistakable silhouette into a compact studio collectible—designed, printed and finished here in Redcar.
Designed, printed and airbrushed in the Burnt Toast workshop
This piece begins as a digital Burnt Toast design before being 3D-printed, carefully prepared and individually airbrushed. Layers of metallic silver, gunmetal and deep shadow bring out the ribbed structure of the figure and the full sweep of its wings.
Every sculpture is finished by hand rather than coming off a conventional production line. That means subtle variations in shading and metallic texture give each example its own character while keeping the strong, recognisable look of the edition.
A limited edition of 100
Only 100 Angel of the North sculptures will be made. At the time of writing, 93 are available. Each one is designed, printed and airbrushed by Burnt Toast and priced at £85.
The wide wingspan makes it a real focal point on a shelf, mantel or collector display, while the integrated circular base keeps the piece compact and easy to present.

The Angel is more than a landmark—it is a symbol of home, industry and the North East’s identity. Creating this edition in our Redcar workshop felt like a natural Burnt Toast project: a familiar icon reimagined through digital design, 3D printing and hand-applied airbrush work.
